3D-GEO has generated a unique approach to cover sequence analysis that incorporates all aspects of geology and geophysics. This methodology is designed to analyse how a geothermal system at depth is preserved, and the life of the system. Seismic, well logs, petrophysics, structure, stratigraphy, gradient analysis and heat flow are incorporated with regolith studies and surficial geology to generate a complete understanding of thickness, conductivity and stability. This is an essential part of completing a basinal geothermal model as it determines the effectiveness of thermal blankets and seals.
